Dags igen: ”Historisk” vinterstorm på gång

De är snabba med att larma om vädret blir sämre. Nu har guvernören i Georgia utlyst krisläge igen sedan en varning kommit in om ett oväder som snabbt dubbas till ”Historic Ice Storm”.

Möjligen har han lärt sig av den förra vinterstormen som drabbade sydöstra USA för någon månad sedan. Då missade man att varna tillräckligt, och folk blev fast på motorvägar i sina bilar. Det klart, när alla kör runt på sommardäck året om så finns det risk för problem.

CNN rapporterar:

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said the storm has the potential to dump ice in a broad corridor along Interstate 20 from Atlanta north to the South Carolina state line. The state has brought in extra salt and sand to try to keep roadways clear, but he cautioned that the coming storm ”is going to be much more serious than what we have seen today in metropolitan Atlanta.”

”There is no doubt that this is one of mother nature’s worst kinds of storms that can be inflicted on the South,” Deal said.
